Anyway, it's Christmas so a Merry One and let's ring the Blue Bellz!!!

Hey Evolve Mixed Martial Arts MMA Gyms in Opening in late November. Visit: http://evolve-mma.com/

I went to the opening sneak preview on Friday. First time in my life seeing Muay Thai live! Muay Thai Demonstration by Yoddecha Sityodtong and Nuengpichit Sityodtong in Evolve MMA Opening Sneak Preview Party.

I took the video and uploaded here:

got no idea who is kimura73 and kickboxer talking to.but i agree with kickboxer.evolve is a very good gym.but just like some others,i also cannot afford the fees.not only the monthly fees,i cant even afford the registration fee.lol.anyway,besides evolve,i think fightworks also has good facility.i am considering to join their boxing program but i am more interested in learning submission grappling/bjj.hope they cud offer submission grappling but with reasonable fees just like their boxing/muay thai programs. cheers

hello guys, don't mind me, i'm new, but i'd like to share what i know.

i actually went to fightworks asia(FWA) for their open house a few months back and managed to try a boxing session and a mma session. i don't know if the instructors are considered 'world-class', but they're definitely patient, and willing to teach even bumbling idiots with zero combat sports experience like myself.

i'm definitely heading back there to train once i settle my school stuff.

just my 2 cents,

cheers people.

I would named a good gym with patience instructor, high discpline and friendly environment.Good gym doesn't mean have to or must have a world champion..

that is so correct. And world champion doesn't mean he is a good instructor. Good at fighting doesn't mean good at teaching.

Hi,

Just to add my 5c worth, I do think that being a world champion says a lot. It does not mean you are a world champion teacher of course, but the sort of personality who has the ability to reach that level in a well known fighting art is probably going to be at least very good at teaching it.

My personal opinion only of course.

New MMA gym, The Stable Mixed Martial Arts, they have a Ralph Gracie Jiu Jitsu affiliation. I spoke to their resident BJJ instructor who is a black belt from Brazil and MMA champion and BJJ champion. He's a heavyweight white chap who seems friendly. They have nice facilities like air-con, a cage, mats and showers. Anyone has any info about this academy? I'm thinking of joining next week, They are at The Stables, Bukit Timah, 100 Turf Club Road.

No idea, they told me their website will be ready next week. Their classes start this monday, I think they have around 5 hours of BJJ classes every day, lunchtime, afternoons and evenings. I'll go over again today to ask them more questions.

Let me know if they have world class trainers as evolve mma, then $300+ is worth it although the location is a bit far.

The list, i voluntarily compiled.
Some sites may not be up and may not include pricing and membership rates. Others might not even have addresses. I STRONGLY encourage you to visit the gym instead of believing everything you see on the internet, including this forum. Having said so, I'm not liable for any information posted on any of the sites I've listed.

But whatever it is, I love MMA. Heart

p.s. so any of these gyms wanna give me membership discounts? Tongue just kidding. *but if you give, I take lah* xP

On which to choose, here's my tip (after reading so much z.z):

- *Level/Purpose of Interest/Training: Passion? Fun? Pro? Stamina In Bed?
- *Budget: As my Physics teacher once said,"cheap cheap, NO good good". Depends on your personal definition of "value for money"
- Accessibility: Neighbour? MRT? Carpark? Next to your house?
- Facilities: High-tech? 3D? 100% no injury *bluff* ?
- Trainers/Instructors: World class? Champions? bo-chap?

*Most important lah hor.

Okaylah, enough said. And can someone organize a national open-invitational mma competition already? Singapore, much like rojak, is like MMA. SO? We must make Singapore the fighting hub also lah! xD

Regards,

mfahmih

Promo can?

My family owns a western/italian restaurant at 66 Bussorah St, near Haji Lane. After training, you hungry.. come larh.. but make reservations, especially on weekend nights. Ouh its called Vintage DeliCafe. Want to know more? Google it. Tongue

Hey ted.p,

Advance welcome to Singapore. Im sure you've heard of the nice things here. Well, you'll the other side of this island soon enough.

The legal age limit in Singapore is 21 years old. So to sign a legal contract, you gotta be 21. In most cases, if you're not 21, your parents need to acknowledge and give their consent. So you can still join, but you need your parents to come along for registration.

You can check with Evolve_mma on this forum.

my 2 cents worth.
