Found this article while doing my regular MMA reading.

Quote:

Asia’s ESPN Star Sports has announced a new partnership with World Resort Sentosa of Singapore to form a new mixed martial arts organization called Martial Combat, which is set to make its debut in May, 2010.

Full article courtesy of MMAPayout here.

Im not expecting much from this but if this is like another Art of War in China, im cool with it. just dont do an Afflcition!

any insiders here like to give additional input?

i dunno man.as long there's MMA event in singapore then i think its okay even they dont really care about MMA.but i think they must be able to communicate with the mma fans in singapore and get our opinion and ideas on the event.anyway,i skimmed the article but didnt spot the WMAF part.hmm..

and i think martial combat doesnt sound really attractive or MMAish. LOL. if i were them i wud buy the pride fc brand from UFC and resurrect it back.haha .talk about cash machine.

Hi,

Being a fight fan, I've been following Martial Combat results closely. And the three most interesting camps to me yield the following results so far:

EVOLVE
9 wins - 2 losses
Notes: Stars from Evolve: Leandro Issa, Mitch Chilson, Tommy Yang, Brian Choi really brought honor to the Evolve Camp.

TIGER MUAY THAI
4 wins - 2 losses
Notes: Favourite fighters Wiktor Swensson & Ray Elbe were darn impressive. I can't wait to watch Ray Elbe's match on 15th October!

LEGACY
5 wins - 1 loss
Notes: Ole Laursen fought with such spirit that he truly won the people's heart; very impressive rear choke on Eduardo Pachu. Malik Mawlayi also showed very impressive performance.
