Ahead of tomorrow's Bellator28 event in New Orleans, the card's fighters hit the scale on Wednesday to weigh-in for their bouts, including a main event between UFC veteran Rich Clementi and Carey Vanier.

Marcus Aurelio has been forced off Friday's Shine Fights event with an injury, but fellow UFC veteran Shannon Gugerty will step in and compete in the promotion's eight-man lightweight tournament, which was recently forced to move to Oklahoma after failing to be licensed by Virginia.

After bouncing back with a win over replacement Gabe Ruediger at UFC 118, Joe Lauzon will face a step up in competition when he meets rising lightweight contender George Sotiropoulos at UFC 123 on Nov. 20 in Detroit.

Fresh of a win last month at UFC 118, middleweight contender Demian Maia will look to continue his climb towards another title shot when he meets Kendall Grove on the Spike-televised main card at The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale on Dec. 4 in Las Vegas.

With their UFC futures likely on the line, lightweights Gabe Ruediger and Paul Kelly are expected to clash on the preliminary card of "UFC 123: Rampage vs. Machida" on November 20 in Detroit.

UFC 123 is headlined by former light heavyweight champs Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Lyoto Machida.

Light heavyweights Thiago Silva and Brandon Vera will return from injuries and look to bounce back from losses in their most-recent fights when they're expected to square off at UFC 125 on Jan. 1 in Las Vegas.

Heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee has been released after going 1-1 in the UFC, including scoring a UFC-record 7-second knockout of Tim Hague in his Octagon debut last August.

He was then booked to face Jon Madsen at UFC 121, but was forced to withdraw with a knee injury and has now been suddenly dropped by the promotion.

A heavyweight tournament semifinal between Neil Grove and Alexey Oleinik will be featured on the Bellator 29 fight card on September 16 in Milwaukee.

WEC vet and season two middleweight tourney runner-up Bryan Baker will face veteran Jeremy Horn on the Bellator 30 fight card on September 23 in Louisville.

Lightweight contenders Bart Palaszewski and Kamal Shalorus are expected to clash at "WEC 52: Faber vs. Mizugaki" on the Versus-televised main card of the Nov. 11 event in Las Vegas.

The WEC 52 fight card is headlined by Urijah Faber vs. Takeya Mizugaki and also includes Brian Bowles vs. Wagnney Fabiano.
